Meyrin was originally a small agricultural village until the 1950s. When the European Organization for Nuclear Research, known as CERN, has constructed in Meyrin, it is now a commuter town dominated with high-rise buildings, and many head offices and global headquarters such as PrivatAir, Easy Jet Switzerland and Swiss watch Chopard. Besides, the Geneva International Airport is partially located in Meyrin.
